Raffles Family Office Launches First Digital Asset Fund in Hong Kong
Raffles Family Office (RFO) has launched its inaugural full digital asset fund through its flagship company, Raffles Assets Management (HK) Co. Limited (RAMHK), the multi-family office based in Singapore and Hong Kong announced on Tuesday.
This move comes after RAMHK received consent from the Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) in Hong Kong to manage portfolios investing in virtual assets, signaling a growing acceptance of digital assets within the traditional wealth management sector.
The open-ended fund, denominated in US dollars and available exclusively to Professional Investors, aims to provide actively managed exposure and dynamic allocation to top liquid cryptocurrencies. RFO's strategy emphasizes long-term portfolio growth through diversification, tactical flexibility, and professional oversight, moving beyond single-asset strategies such as Bitcoin ETFs. The fund will be integrated with RAMHK’s broader investment platform, aligning with clients' holistic wealth and succession planning to ensure the long-term growth, security, and generational transfer of their digital asset holdings.
"Clients have noticed the significance of digital asset in their asset allocation of wealth management but struggle to find the right manager," William Chow, Deputy Group CEO of RFO and responsible officer of RAMHK, said in a statement. "This fund comes at an opportune time that meets clients’ underserved needs for a professional partner to manage their crypto assets – whether they are crypto natives or traditional finance investors looking for exposure to digital assets.”
Chow further emphasized RFO's long-term conviction in the asset class, adding, "The fund also reflects our long-term conviction in digital assets as an essential part of wealth portfolios. We see digital assets as a strategic asset class that will play a lasting role in wealth preservation and growth."
